Roush Fenway Racing, is a perennial frontrunner in the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series (formerly Nextel Cup and Winston Cup). Greg Biffle, Matt Kenseth, Carl Edwards, David Ragan and Jamie McMurray, are the current group of drivers for Roush Fenway and each one brings something different to the table. Greg Biffle, has been with Roush Fenway the longest, signing with Jack Roush\u2019s Craftsman Truck Series team in 1998. He has won championships for Roush, in the Truck Series and the Busch (now Nationwide) Series, with a best finish of 2nd, in the Nextel Cup Series points standings. The Washington native drives the #16 Ford Fusion and is signed on to drive for Roush Fenway until 2011. Off the track, Biffle and his wife Nicole, started the Greg Biffle Foundation in 2005, to help improve the well-being of animals; they were especially active in the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina. Matt Kenseth, signed on with Roush Racing in 2000, when his whole team under Robbie Reiser (Kenseth\u2019s then-car owner), moved to the Roush stable as the #17. That year he won the Cup Series Rookie of the Year (beating Dale Earnhardt, Jr.) and won the Coca-Cola 600 at Charlotte, NC (the only rookie to date to win the event). He won the Cup Series championship in 2003 and the International Race of Champions (IROC) championship in 2004. Carl Edwards, attracted Jack Roush\u2019s attention in 2001, after a few Truck Series starts. He ran the Truck Series full-time for Roush starting in 2003, winning Rookie of the Year along with three races. He moved up to the Cup Series in August 2004, replacing Jeff Burton in the #99. Edwards ran full-time in both the Cup series and Busch Series from 2005 to 2007, wining Busch Series Rookie of the Year in 2005, the Busch championship in 2007 and finishing third in the Cup points standings in 2005. Edwards\u2019 trademark celebration after winning, is doing a backflip off his car or truck. David Ragan, came to the team via the Roush Racing reality show “Driver X” in 2005. In spite of his outspoken nature, which was a concern to Roush Racing\u2019s top executives, Ragan won the Craftsman Truck Series ride. The son of former Cup driver Ken Ragan, he went on to win the Busch Series Rookie of the Year title in 2007 and currently drives the #6 car, taking over the ride vacated by Mark Martin in 2007. Jamie McMurray, came to Roush Fenway in 2006, via Chip Ganassi Racing. McMurray drove for Brewco Motorsports in the Busch Series in 2001 and 2002 and signed with Ganassi in 2002, for seven races in Cup and a full-time starting in 2003. When Sterling Marlin fractured a vertebra in Kansas in 2002, the McMurray plan was moved up and in his second race substitute driving for Marlin, McMurray won at Lowe\u2019s Motor Speedway in Charlotte, NC. McMurray won Cup series Rookie of the Year in 2003. He drives the #26 Ford for Roush Fenway.
